Sunday post – Architecture from Spain

Jakesprinter’s challenge this week is architecture.  I was inspired by adinparadise’s similar post for this week’s challenge and I decided to try and squeeze it into my busy holiday week. My menu is done, shopping list is made, now I can play a little.  Do check out her post as it’s full of great photos of my favorite country.  To see other entries click here.  I have posted some of these before, but it’s fun to rearrange them for another theme.  I do hope you’ll enjoy them.

  1. I’m so glad you found the time to squeeze in your Spanish post, Toby. I missed that old Roman wall, and I love the detail on the Palau de la Música Catalana. :)

    • your post inspired me! I wish we had had time to go inside that palau. I’ve seen photos of the inside and I am for sure going in next time!! thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I just love the Moorish architecture – the red and white arches, the lace-like delicacy of the tiny arches within arches. It is such a contrast in many ways to the Christian architecture. Thanks so much for the wonderful images!

  3. Beautiful photography my friend for this week topic ,Thanks for sharing :)

  4. I don’t recollect seeing the Roman wall in Barcelona before, Tobyo, and I love the photos of the Palace of Catalan Music. Nice compilation.

    • there is also a sign with a picture of what the entire wall used to look like. it’s pretty darn cool! so, next time you’re in Barcelona you should check it out. thanks for your comments.

I studied in Sevilla for a semester – can’t tell you how many photos I have of the Alcazar. It’s my favorite of all the ones I’ve seen, and a really enchanting place :)
